Meet Andrew

Serving our community is an honor for me.
As a member of the Maryland House Delegates, I have been committed to improving affordability, strengthening our schools, funding infrastructure improvements, providing resources for public safety, enhancing assistance for Veterans, and protecting our environment. I work for you, and that has guided how I approach my job as a Delegate. Constituent services and advocacy have always been my top priority. People deserve a representative who stands at their side.
Whether I coach your children in the Gambrills Odenton Recreation Council (GORC), welcome you at National Night Out in Seven Oaks, provide community updates at the Greater Crofton Council meeting, or greet you at the Piney Orchard Street Festival, I am always in the community.
Working together helps resolve issues, and we are proud to live in a community where we help each other. To those who have supported me in the past, I ask for your continued support to continue the great work we have accomplished. To those whom I have not met or are new to our community, I look forward to meeting you and working to earn your support. Together, we can work towards a brighter future for our community.

About
Andrew has a strong record and experience with public service, including service on the Anne Arundel County Board of Appeals, President of the Anne Arundel County Board of Education, and serving as a former Chair of the Anne Arundel County Council. He currently serves as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 33A. Even though it is his first term, his colleagues who trust his leadership voted to elect Andrew as Chair of the Anne Arundel County Delegation in 2025.
During his service, he fought to address issues important to our community including improving our schools, increasing support for public services and infrastructure, promoting economic growth, and protecting our environment.
In his most recent leadership role as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, Andrew introduced and passed key legislation to:
Improving consumer protections and holding corporations accountable
Allowing homeowners to assume lower mortgage rates and keep their homes
Remove noncompete and conflict of interest clauses to keep businesses in Maryland
Enhanced benefits and programs for Veterans, including a tax credit for disabled veterans
Providing coverage for cancer screening and workers' compensation benefits for our first responders
Enacting state policy to support small businesses, including breweries and wineries.
As a Delegate, Andrew has been able to get capital improvements in our community. Below are just a few projects that highlight the improved public benefit to our local community:
Improvements to the entrance at the Piney Orchard Nature Trail
Feasibility and planning for the Arundel High School Field House
Planning funds for improving Maryland Route 3
Allocation of funds for the outdoor signs at Arundel Middle and Arundel High School
Building the Bluewater Playground in Seven Oaks Community
Installation of Sprinklers at the Odenton Heritage Society - Old Masonic Hall
Funds for the new Anne Arundel County Food Bank facility, which supports our residents who need our support the most

As a Delegate, Andrew will continue to fight to lower prescription, medical, daycare, and utility costs. He fully supports our schools and will advocate for adequate compensation for staff. Andrew believes that our first responders and veterans should receive adequate resources, along with assistance to their families. He supports women's reproductive rights and access to healthcare. Andrew will continue his efforts to keep illegal guns off our streets and protect the rights of Maryland residents. He will work to assist local small businesses to improve economic growth. He will improve our local infrastructure, protect our environment, and promote sustainability.

Andrew earned his Bachelor’s of History and a Master’s in Education at Niagara University in New York. Following college, Andrew moved to Maryland and served as a social studies teacher at Frederick Douglass High School. While teaching, Andrew served as a building representative and local government relations chair for the Maryland State Teachers Association (now the Maryland State Education Association) where he led efforts at the state level to fight for increased funding for education. Andrew resides with his wife and children in Gambrills with their dog Stanley
Andrew believes elected officials are meant to serve, not be served. As an Eagle Scout, he believes that public service is important to our community. Will you join him in working toward a brighter future for our community?
